But anyway, a lot as happened. My workplace moved recently, and the rules there have changed, which makes it more difficult to do what I have to do. But, until I can get a better-paying job (HA, as if), I can't complain lest I bring the wrath of God down on my head. XP
Dial-up internet proved to be too much for my old, 10 year-old computer to handle. Poor thing would only connect half the time, and its harddrive was bursting at the seams, nearly. So, the family decided that it was time to upgrade. Now, I type this from a brand-spanking new desktop with Windows 7. (After using Windows XP for so long, it's taking some getting-used-to.)
Then, we learn that the new comp needs a special device, if we wanted to keep using dial-up. Found the aforementioned device, but dropping $60 for the sake of internet we weren't going to use for very long seemed a tad extravagant to me. Dad agreed, and gave the go-ahead to upgrade to high-speed internet.
I almost got whiplash, the first time I logged on, lemme tell ya. @__@ Going from 52KBps to 3MBps is like going 60 miles an hour to light-speed. XP
We lost the software disk for my printer/copier/scanner. We need it if we're to print things off the comp/internet, or scan things like drawings in. I think we can still use it for copying, but one out of three functions isn't very helpful in this case. We can't even figure out where it might've gone to, and I dread having to tell my dad we're going to need another one when he's already dropped so much moolah. And it's GOT to have the three functions in one, since we do all three. XP
We had our old data copied from the old harddrive and transferred to the new one. The pictures were moved fine, but I forgot that my old WordPerfect program wouldn't be transfferred, and all the stories I had in progress were in that format. Now, the files are totally inacessible on the new computer. XP I'll have to hook up the old, bulky, disassembled comp in my room somehow, convert the files THERE into a new comp-friendly format, copy 'em onto SOMETHING and load 'em onto the new comp. XP Bad news is that the monitor has been packed up into its old box and got shoved into the garage, already. >_<;;; (fail) I should've thought of it before the fact, but I had JUST gotten home from work! I was sleepy.
.... So yeah. The last few months have been chaotic. >_< If it wasn't work, it was another thing. XP And another, and another... Drawing's been put on complete hold, and to say that progress had been slow on the writings is an understatement of epic proportions. >__<;; Now the writing's on hold, too, until I can get the files converted and on the new comp. XP Which SUCKS, because I had made some progress while we were waiting for the new internet.... -__-;;
So... yeah. That's all I feel like sharing. XP
Until next time (if there is one.)

Black Knight: Right, I'll do you for that!
King Arthur: You'll what?
Black Knight: Come here!
King Arthur: What are you gonna do, bleed on me?
Black Knight: I'm invincible!
King Arthur: ...You're a loony.
